Benefits
Weather Protection
Handicare weatherproof the whole lift and fit UV-stable slate grey upholstery. As a result, it lives outside all year, and a waterproof cover keeps it ready to use.
Compact Design
The rail is a slim aluminium track with no visible rack. Therefore, the folded lift takes up 385mm on the steps and leaves room to pass.
Ease of Use
A key switch isolates the lift when nobody is using it. In addition, an anti-slip footrest and simple armrest controls make each journey easy.
Safety Features
A seat belt and a swivel seat come as standard on the 1000 series. Consequently, you get on and off at the top on level ground.
Considerations
The powered options of the indoor 1000 are not available outdoors. So the seat, footrest and rail hinge fold by hand, and Handicare rate it for moderate climates.
As with any stairlift, check the folded width leaves room for others to pass. Measure the staircase before you order.
